            Shri. Vijay Gore was born in Belgaum on 2nd June 1945. He completed his B.Sc in 1966 and joined Indian Army. He was commissioned in the “CORPS OF SIGNALS” in 1967 and served there from 1967 to 1972: Most of the time, in border areas. He joined I.A.S Karnataka Cadre in the year 1973.

            He started his career as A.C. LINGSUGUR. He was D.C. in Chikmagalur and Bijapur districts and as Divisional Commissioner in Gulbarga Division. He has worked with various Public Sector Enterprises like NGEF Ltd., Mysore Paper Mills Ltd., Mysore Electrical Industries, Karnataka Agro Industries Corporation, Gangavati Sugars Ltd., and Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation.

            He also served as the Chairman of the erstwhile Karnataka Electricity Board. He worked as Principal Secretary to the Govt of Karnataka in Bureau of Public Enterprises, Public Works Dept. and Department of Labour.

            He also served as Addl. Chief Secretary & Development Commissioner.

            He retired as Additional Chief Secretary to the Government in 2005.

            Since his retirement, he is working for the Tree plantation in and around Bangalore to fight the pollution and Global Warming. He has been addressing industries and colleges to involve and motivate our youth towards these goals.

            He is also working as a Management Consultant in various fields.
